Begin with the stock and the situation
If you are winding down an antique shop or reducing dealer inventory, send an overview before creating a full catalogue. Useful first photographs show the sales floor, representative stock, storage rooms and any goods that are not included.
Tell us whether the stock is owned by the business or includes consigned goods. Identify display fixtures separately from merchandise. Items belonging to another dealer or consignor cannot simply be treated as part of the offered stock.
Keep one inventory for the proposed offer
| Group | What the photographs and notes should establish |
|---|---|
| Owned stock | What is available, approximate quantities and representative condition. |
| Consigned or reserved goods | Which items belong to another seller or are already committed. |
| Display furniture | Whether cases, shelves and counters are included along with their contents. |
| Household belongings | Personal items and family keeps, especially where a shop also has living space. |
| Attached fittings | Identify separately before discussing whether removal is possible or included. |
Use the same room or shelf names in your photographs and notes. Identify every storage address so a proposed offer refers to the stock you actually expect to leave.
What the enquiry covers
This route is for discussing inventory and contents. Buying an operating business, taking over a lease and purchasing a building are separate matters. None of those is promised by this website or implied by a stock review.
Jessica is interested in opportunities involving unusual objects and existing antique stock. The photographs and practical details help establish whether a more detailed conversation is worthwhile.
Give us the practical picture
- The shop or storage location, including the property town and ZIP.
- Your reason for selling and the date by which the stock needs to move.
- An approximate quantity and the principal categories.
- Whether you are seeking a purchase of the entire stock or selected groups.
- Stairs, loading access, parking and separate storage locations.
- Any stock lists or asking expectations you already have.
The form accepts photographs rather than inventory documents. Mention an existing stock list in the description so it can be discussed during follow-up.
Review first, agreement second
Retail ticket prices, the likely resale market and the work needed to handle a bulk purchase are different considerations. A visit and an inspection may be needed before an offer can be made. Removal responsibilities and exclusions must be agreed explicitly.
